Goodbye, Hello

ThomasontheCouch

No other day of the year elicits more pause, reflection, gratitude and anticipation all at once.  It is often unavoidably bittersweet.  This New Year’s Eve is proving to be just that.  I speak for myself but I know full well many share similar feelings on this day.  Certainly, there is much to be thankful for, such as our new faces on staff at T’eez.  They bring us all new eyes, ideas and enthusiasm.   I’m also thankful beyond words for those of my crew that have been with me through thick and very thin.  I know I don’t tell them enough how much they mean to me.  I love these people and I am forever indebted to them and am so happy to be in better days.  Our new ownership partners have proven to be an invaluable addition to T’eez.  They enable me to live my dream everyday and to show my thanks I will make sweet love to them all.   Oh ya, I just went there.  More…

Yes, I choose to live here…

Omaha

…then move already.

This isn’t going to be a rant as much as an anti-rant.  Defensive?  Sure, but there’s nothing wrong with defending that which has value or merit.
Complaining about Omaha and/or the weather is fine.  I can live with this.  I have my whole life cuz I was born and raised here.  I get it.  Discontentment or wanting more out of something you care about is normal.  It can even help.  Like speaking out about what’s wrong with America.  It’s part of the process that can make the country better.
